Behind the Name

     The name Mowyen isn't just a label.  It's the heart of my brand.  It came from a nickname I was given in childhood.  Being half Chinese and half French.  I stood out in a small town where there weren't many families like mine.  Someone gave me the name Mowyen and though it was simple it meant something to me.  Only one of my closest friends ever knew about it and she still lovingly calls me Mow to this day.

     When it came time to name this business.  A new chapter in my life,  Mowyen kept coming back to me.  At first I wasn't sure if I should use it, but the more I thought about it the more I realized: this name represents a part of me I've grown into, calm, creative and rooted in purpose. 

     The brand's logo, blending the letters "MS" with the soft silhouette of a woman, reflects exactly that.  It's strong, feminine and graceful.  Just like Mowyen itself it's a tribute to identity, beauty and finding peace in who you truly are. 

     To me Mowyen means serenity, it means self-discovery and now, it means creating handmade soaps and essentials that help others feel seen, nurtured and beautifully at home in their own skin.
