My Story
Hi I'm Marlene, the maker behind Mowyen. This is more than just a business to me, It's a personal journey that helped me find myself again and I'd love to share how it all began.
Mowyen was born during a time of soul-searching, a quiet, personal journey to rediscover who I really am.
One day while picking up a gift for my mother-in-law at a local craft fair, I came across a booth selling handmade shampoo bars. I'd always wanted to try one and something about that moment felt meant to be. I struck up a conversation with the maker and her story deeply inspired me.
After that day, I found myself curious and wondering how something so simple could feel so meaningful. I started researching how to make soap and once i tried it, I fell completely in love. Not just with the process, but with how it made me feel. For the first time in a long time I felt proud, I felt peace and most importantly, I felt purpose.
This isn't just about soap, it's about self-trust. What drew me in wasn't a need to fix anything, but a quiet pull toward something deeper, a creative outlet, a sense of connection, a way to pour love into something that felt like mine.
Making soap became a kind of therapy. Each batch taught me something about patience, imperfection, and believing that I'm capable of more than I thought. What began as a small act of self-care slowly grew into a vision rooted in purpose.
Before this, the path I was on no longer felt right. I was going through the motions, battling self-doubt and questioning my worth. At this stage in my life I've finally realized: it's not about anyone else. It's about me, what brings me joy and what I want to build.
Mowyen Soaps is where skin meets serenity, every bar handcrafted and rooted in intention. It's about the slowing down, creating with care, and honoring the beauty in everyday rituals.
My story, like so many others is unique and a little unexpected. But that's what makes it beautiful. Mowyen isn't just a brand. It's a part of my healing and a new beginning. It's self-trust, wrapped in scent and color. And I hope when you use it, you feel that same reminder too. That you are worthy of care, creativity, and courage. May it bring you sense of peace, comfort and serenity.
